What made you choose your deck? What are some plays your deck can make?

I played Crystron last YTC but missed half of the games because of my schedule. I felt that the deck deserved a top and that I had enough experience with the cards, so I brought it again.
This deck usually sets up a Synchro 7 on the opponent's turn with Tristalos, but if Sulfador resolves you can set up a Quariongandrax by ending on Sulf and Trist. It also has a lot of followup since so many of the Crystron cards have GY effects.

What were some tech choices you made? Would you make any changes to the list moving forward?

I played Gravedigger's Trap Hole to stop handtraps on Trist on the opponent's turn, but that did not come up. I included Buddy Force as well since this deck has a lot of Traps, but that was not very good. The non-Machine Synchros and Catastor did not come up.
I would cut these for better cards.

How did your deck handle the other pilots? Any notable moments?

The deck was very grindy but playing into boards was awkward at times. There were also some hands where I drew 5 backrow and no starter. I still wasn't very good at the deck, and made some misplays.
I missed lethal against Bluey by forgetting I had a Normal Summon. Playing against Venomblast's Galaxy Photon twice was pretty scary but having a lot of Traps made that a good matchup. I drew Dominus Impulse twice in the finals against Burrito on Maliss.

What's your favorite anime, and what's something you're watching at the moment?

I don't watch anime but I really liked those Pokemon manga when I was younger.

Burrito

What made you choose your deck? What are some plays your deck can make?

I chose to play Maliss because after the prior YTC, I both qualified for Champs and got Maliss nerfed, so I intended to use this YTC as a test for Maliss builds I’d want to take to Champs. The entire deck still hinges around making Cherubini/I:P and going for a Link Summon on the opponent’s turn to bring out Maliss <P> White Binder, so its just designed build off of it from there.

What were some tech choices you made? Would you make any changes to the list moving forward?

The notable tech choices I made was the inclusion of Template Skipper, Bystial Druidwurm, and a Runick package. These allowed for better recovery, greater abilities to go second, and the fact that I could get better value off of my draw cards with greater generic card quality. I wouldn’t include EM:P Meowmine in future lists, since the card provides just a niche interaction with I:P and Code of Soul, instead including Vulmina, Statue of the Sacred Dragon since it can proc with either TB-11 or GWC-06.

How did your deck handle the other pilots? Any notable moments?

The deck better than I expected, since I only had to play 1 match vs a Deck that spammed beaters in round 1. I’d say the only notable moments were game 3 vs Bluey where I summoned Ally of Justice Quarantine and the duel ended since his Deck is all Light monsters, and game 2 of Finals vs Stephen where I showcased the Topologic Trisbaena on opp turn line that won the duel on the spot.

What's your favorite anime, and what's something you're watching at the moment?

My favorite anime remains as Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, and I’ve been keeping up with some of the newer stuff like Moonrise, Apothecary Diaries, My Illegal Academia, To Be Hero X, and Witch Watch, while rewatching Food Wars with my girlfriend.

Bluey

What made you choose your deck? What are some plays your deck can make?

I chose my deck as it was one of the strategies I was more familiar with.

What were some tech choices you made? Would you make any changes to the list moving forward?

I didn't add anything new, but I should have. Missed out on adding some powerful generics and taking out cards I never side in. I needed to add in tachyon, and while I do wish I could add in board clears, heavy storm would work against my continuous spells.

How did your deck handle the other pilots? Any notable moments?

It was quite usual, most of the time it is either voiceless sauravis or otohime carrying me through games as most can't permanently get them out of being cycled. The last match was quite a doozy for me, though I feel I coasted along well.

What's your favorite anime, and what's something you're watching at the moment?

As for anime, I quite enjoy Shangri-la Frontier, one of the few media I see that closely resembles a fiction about video games. Don't quite know about favorite as I mostly read.

Venomblast

What made you choose your deck? What are some plays your deck can make?

Its one of the best decks of the current format. U have one of the best ht of the game in the face of P Jumper, the best extra deck punish in galaxy hundret and the best mon in the face of Photon lord

What were some tech choices you made? Would you make any changes to the list moving forward?

I tried to cut the size of the deck to 45 to brick less. and also maxxed it on traps to slow down the game. I would try more traps and even less bricks but the points are tricky.

How did your deck handle the other pilots? Any notable moments?

Worst match up is crystrons cause it has better grind than me.

What's your favorite anime, and what's something you're watching at the moment?
