What made you choose your deck? What are some plays your deck can make?

Bro it is the same deck bro, let me check last time I did the write up to see what has changed. That was fall 2023 champs I think. Most notable thing is an engine switch caused by ban of hop-ear and release of white forest. I am now on a white forest build cause it has great synergy with metalfoes and is just a great engine overall with no garnets. The second thing is hop-ear got banned which made it so that Shield-bearer only searched Misak and no disruption, due to that I decided to drop the heritage+igknight package. Other stuff is just tech choices, the deck is still mostly the same cause that is pretty optimal. The play is you dump your cards onto the board and hope you win.

What were some tech choices you made? Would you make any changes to the list moving forward?

Alright time to talk about some stuff compared to fall 2023. First of all I ran Ichirin for white forest as it can search silvy off of something like reflection or gate magician which is very good and also puts up a kinda mid negate sometimes, was goo overall, but I decided to also run majesty Pegasus cause it has 1500 def and searches fields: big mistake I forgot she sucks bad, definitely cut that. Besides that 1) I ran a chronograph to fill space, was okay 2) I am now on foolish and shrine compared to the fall 2023 list despite having only one target for both cause new sk cards (lightwurm gate magician, wings of light) which are good came out and also white forest stuff can dump bad spells to gy. Furthermore I am on duelist extraordinaire which I was not for a while, I originally reasoned it was just a gum gum and gum gum is bad from my testing but 1) it is level 4, 2) it has an interesting search effect, 3) it is a light spellcaster so wf interactions, 4) it can bring itself back to hand making it not clog pend zone, so it is a lot better actually. Notably I am also not on dragonic pendulum anymore, the main reason being is I decided I have enough good cards now to not have to turbo elec. Another nice tech is spell card monster reborn, new card but is very good for potential to both interrupt and extend your plays, can also be used on both turns so no reason not to run it even in pend. And note one last difference from the previous build: no pdr and flame strike, I have determined that those are too slow nowadays so are not worth running. Besides that in ed 2 things are notable: azalea (good link) and beyond. Beyond is more notable because I have now switched over to running it as opposed to not, this correlates with my gameplan being less normal monster focused with loss of dragonic pendulum and igknights. For side: Iris swordsoul was an interesting decision, I put it there in case I found some decks that summoned stuff with negated effs, but that didn't really happen so I determined it is bad. Also tried brain control: also bad, no one passes on main deck stuff I want to take enough. Sides that pretty standard side, should maybe have some more stuff that helps with removing stuff from the gy like michion or whatever the timelord is that shuffles gy.

How did your deck handle the other pilots? Any notable moments?

It was okay, I really did not know what to do vs memento though. I felt like my deck just doesn't really interact with their plays much, I don't know what to do for that matchup besides try hard to kill my opp's gy and maybe side retaliating or something. I can't think of any md or ed changes that would help very much. Maybe if I opened multiple vanillas and dumped everything into apollousa that could achieve something? Probably not. Rest was fine, the deck's main weakness: no way to actually banish anything, didn't come up really, the one zombie player just bricked so like whatever. Well maybe it came up with fiends but you can just power through those, you don't need to banish their cards just let them loop lmao, they don't loop into anything relevant. I don't think I lost vs memento cause I can't banish, like I just can't interact with memento much in general? Or interact with it in the right ways at least. I kind of feel the same way with ritual beast actually, but that is a bit better cause they rely more on generics so not being able to interact with it well can be solved by powering through. I am surprised I did not get my ass kicked by azurune but that was okay really.

Who's your favorite video game character?

Idk man. What does favourite mean? Most fun to play is maybe Ezio (AC 3 changed the control in a bad way and I have not liked the series since, AC 2/broth/revelations had amazing controls).

What made you choose your deck? What are some plays your deck can make?

1a. I like RB :3. I was also very annoyed at the recent hits and made the deck in the anticipation that it would be benis. Turns out, it went 4-0 (fully 5-1).
1b. Ritual Beast Cannahawk is like the best starter for the deck. It sets up its Ulti form + Ritual Beast Steeds for pop and Spiritual Beast Tamer Lara in GY. Should your opponent be foolish enough to attack into Ulti, protect w/ Lara, summon any RB in the deck, tag out Ulti on a q-e for the banished Lara and w/e other RB banished, and pop 3 monsters! Next turn is also guaranteed lethal, so if your opponent has a lack of interaction you win on the spot. Of course, your opponent failing to bat into your Ulti leaves you w/ GY material for the new monster, Ritual Beast Ulti-Nochiudrago

What were some tech choices you made? Would you make any changes to the list moving forward?

1a. None really. The most tech was Dimension Shifter, which came up once. In 12 games. In a 35 card deck. I suppose there's also Morganite, which I wouldn't not run. Save me in a lot of games just because a free +1 every turn helps to out-grind decks. Especially when RB usually needs 2 cards in post-
1b. More consistency. I run 9 starters (4 1-card 5 2-card) and I frequently draw none of them.

How did your deck handle the other pilots? Any notable moments?

1a. It went 5-1, and only lost to pendulum (which is a winning matchup in most cases), soo.
1b. Memento vs Ritual Beast has got to be a 0-1000 matchup. I fought Ricape twice. The first time he bricked twice so it was a free W, the second time we both bricked (leading to the funniest game of all time) and RB just shagged on them the second round- CANNAHAWK ADDS CARDS AFTER 2 SP???
Well shid.

Who's your favorite video game character?

Don't really have one. I pride myself on not harboring a singular favorites and love a menagerie. I guess Sans from Undertale or Visas Starfrost. Their designs are cool.

What made you choose your deck? What are some plays your deck can make?

I'm playing Memento in the TCG so I wanted to try it out in Trinity. The best turn 1 for this deck is making Creation King turn 1 to set up a lot of interruptions and followup.

What were some tech choices you made? Would you make any changes to the list moving forward?

There's definitely a lot that needs to change because pretty much none of the Memento starters (except Goblin) do enough in my build. The That's 10 engine also needs to be cut because I severely overestimated that card. I'm not sure where to take the deck next (probably a bigger fusion focus) but it definitely needs changes.

How did your deck handle the other pilots? Any notable moments?

The deck worked when it summoned the fusion. I lost to PB twice because Ritual Beast is better than Memento.

Who's your favorite video game character?

Shirou Emiya if you count visual novels. If not, there's too many good characters to count so I'll throw out a bit of a random one: Bill from Left 4 Dead.
