What made you choose your deck? Did you enjoy piloting it?

Same as usual: I did consider with new support maybe significantly modifying my build, but new pals did not really add anything to any notable alternative build, symphonic warriors maindeck is underwhelming in practice, odd-eyes ritual is too hard to use. Magicians are playable now but still not great compared to metalfoe core. As a result, I am playing basically the same thing as before. I only added new extra deck stuff and PUNK engine as that works very well with Symphonic warrior rocks, though that did not turn up much. Deck felt fine overall.

Would you make any changes to the list moving forward?
Not sure what to change right now honestly: maybe consider fiddling with some of the tech choices, but overall there is nothing actually wrong with the list such that I could make it objectively better, so I would wait for the next main set and banlist changes to modify anything notable.

What, in your opinion, is the most underrated card or engine in Trinity? What is the most overrated? Why?

For most underrated, I think Dark Ruler No More. I do not side that anymore, but I still think it is a great card and is amazing in specific formats and matchups, having the ability to field negate even something like dragonmaids is just great very often, anti-tcg brain gets in the way of people realising what great utility it has as they just go "man stopping big negate boards just does not come up in trinity" or something.

Most overrated card is Angel Statue - Azurune. I have actually not seen a situation where using that card turned out well, it always seems the person would rather have something else. Why is it at half? It's bad. I can't really point out why it's bad without sounding dumb, but that is just how it feels when I see it: someone get this person a real trap.

We’ve got another prize pool YTC next month, which is sure to bring more players and more competitive decks. What deck do you think is the favorite to win it all?

I do not have the slightest clue of what the best deck is right now.

What made you choose your deck? Did you enjoy piloting it?

Well, after Aromaseraphy Marjoram got banned after our most recent YTC, it was clear that I needed a new deck. I play a ton of duels against myself with a whole host of decks leading up to this event, including Springans, Reptile, Zombie, Dinosaur and this deck that you see above. Ultimately, this ended up being my favorite of them, and it was doing well in my testing, so I went for it. It's a fun deck to pilot of course. Lots of cool synergies between all of these archetypes. In this way, this feels like a very "Trinity" deck.

Would you make any changes to the list moving forward?

Yeah, I actually think that Metaphys are a better banish engine than Thunder Dragon. Metaphys also open up the ability to play lots of powerful cards like Swordsoul of Mo Ye and Crossout Designator. If I were to stay with Thunder Dragon, though, I wouldn't bother playing Dragonduo; that card bricks more often than it is useful here.

What, in your opinion, is the most underrated card or engine in Trinity? What is the most overrated? Why?

The Amazement engine I'm on in this deck is insanely underrated. Amazing Time Ticket being able to flex between a disruption trap and a +1 normal summon is just so useful in a format where you want to avoid bricking. And Amazement Administrator Arlekino is an outright broken card. I think that practically any deck that plays a sizable trap lineup should be playing this engine; I've topped with it in two different archetypes now (Noble Knight and Myutant), and I'm always happy to draw into it. If more people played this it would end up on the forbidden list.

Other than that, Mystical Space Typhoon is a bit underplayed right now. It's good going first and second, and a lot of the current meta decks rely on face-up spells and traps. Aussa the Earth Charmer, Immovable is also nasty in anything playing P.U.N.K. right now (since it can steal opponent's P.U.N.K. monsters and use them to search), though I still see lists without it. Oh, and decks that synergize with it should also be on Swordsoul Strife (which I have sided in my list above), as it can banish your opponent's Swordsoul monsters or Wyrm synchros. If you chain it to Taia, it totally shuts them down.

As for overrated, probably just any deck without an archetypal snowball. Noble Knight, Metalfoes, Myutant, The Weather, D/D/D, Dinomorphia... All the best decks in Trinity from the last few events have been decks that can snowball to victory off of two-card combos.

The main threat not present in this event was Dinomorphia, which is still a broken deck. Other than that, I'd bet on one of these four decks from this top cut. I'm also curious if D/D/D or Megalith Drytron could make a come back, but we'll see.

What made you choose your deck? Did you enjoy piloting it?

Yeah the deck was an absolute blast to play, pretty much whenever I could stick a taia and make baxia the deck was always winning or had some winning lines. I definitely miss playing a lot as always when playing a deck for the first time but the tenyis felt so good to use.

Would you make any changes to the list moving forward?

The extra deck wasn’t perfect. I found myself missing the third copy of Monk of the Tenyi as well as a generic link 2. Going forward I would probably cut Draco Masters and Geomathmech Magma for a Monk of the Tenyi and an Aussa the Earth Charmer, Immovable.

What, in your opinion, is the most underrated card or engine in Trinity? What is the most overrated? Why?

I don’t know if i’d call it underrated per say, but Forbidden Lance is one of the strongest cards that doesn’t get talked about much. It's a card that either blanks a spell/trap or functions as a battle trap and always feels really good to draw.

I’ve always thought thunder dragon was a bit overrated. The deck is definitely solid, but every time I play against it they either feel they win more to otk in an already winning position or they’re very bricky. I would like to see BLS and CED come off the list and maybe those two could make the deck feel a lot stronger.

If it doesn’t get hit, most likely some punk hybrid. The engine is way too strong to be untaxed every turn they remain alive plus you and they are all removal spells.

What made you choose your deck? Did you enjoy piloting it?

I don't have much of a reason, I just felt the need to play weather one day and one of my friends told me the tcg version was fairly boring in this meta, so here we are. I did enjoy piloting it, despite the fairly snowball heavy playstyle I felt there was enough expression to be enjoyable, especially since I didn't have the chance to set up the auto scoop combos that much this ytc.

Would you make any changes to the list moving forward?

Yes. While nothing felt bad to draw throughout my run, cutting some fluff to go to 40 or 45 would probably help, in particular going second, considering that I'm pretty much playing a hybrid of 2 different 2-card combo decks.

What, in your opinion, is the most underrated card or engine in Trinity? What is the most overrated? Why?

That's a heck of a question. Starting with overated, looking at the replays from the past ytc, while swordsoul decks have obviously been placing highly, I can't say I'm overly impressed with the engine's performance, despite how much I've complained about it in the past. I'd love to give some sleeper tech for the upcoming format, I'm unfortunately not play testing trinity enough to find something like that. I will say that some single target removal spells could do well, with nanawashi surprise everywhere and battle floaters apparently on the rise.

Something with punks, obviously. The trend has been swordsoul but as I've said I'm not convinced that's the best thing you can be doing right now, so I'm excited to see what decks people come up with that will take the best advantage of summon madame search a one-time interaction pass.
