What made you choose this deck for the tournament, and what were your tech choices?

I chose the deck because it was recommended as easy to learn, which was very important to me given that I was unfamiliar with both the trinity format and most of the cards and decks used, having not payed much attention to modern yugioh until recently. I played it at a locals, decided I liked it, and I caught on fairly quickly like people said. Of my 3 tech choices 2 were somehow never drawn once during the ytc, primineral kongreat in the main deck and eccentric boy for angel of zera plays. The 3rd was a maindecked DD Ground, which was huge, especially in stopping nadir.

Would you make any changes to the deck?

I actually don't think I'd make any changes. Every card I can think of came extremely handy at some point.

How did your matchups throughout Swiss and Top 4 go?

Matchups against slower, grindier decks went very well in general, as this deck has a very good advantage game. The losses were mainly to early-game OTKs, as it can frequently take a turn or 2 to set up.

Do you have a favorite play of the tournament?

It's the finals. We're both low on life, the opponent's board is massive, while mine has just been annihilated! Whatever shall I-topdeck lightning vortex

Moving forward, what cards do you think should be banned or restricted, if any?

I feel like I'm still too new to Trinity to properly assess banlist decisions, but Nadir was by far the most insane card in my deck, being 2 pops, 2 monsters, and a negate in one card, and it, along with Dogmatika Punishment, were the cards I most feared from my opponents. Also, while this is likely the salt talking, Iza using change of heart (plus the widow anchor steal) to make me go from full life and a decent board to dead was a bit tilting.

What made you choose this deck for the tournament, and what were your tech choices?

I almost always stick with the same deck for each champs season, this time around I've been on Sky Striker Dogmatika aka Good_Engines.dek. This month I decided to also include the new God Slime engine and the Cyberse 1 negate engines as flavors of the month. Since I decided to do that I felt my access to Formud Skipper and my inclusion of Aboimnable Unchained Soul warranted the inclusion of Unchained Soul of Rage and Accesscode Talker in my extra. Not sure I would play this exact combination of engines again, I'll probably think of something different for champs.

Would you make any changes to the deck?

My decision to go to 60 the day of the tournament was definitely a mistake. I'm not playing nearly enough playstarters to justify that. Past that though the deck has felt as strong as it has all season.

How did your matchups throughout Swiss and Top 4 go?

Matchups felt pretty good throught Swiss and Top 4. My deck wins unless my opponent is able to outpace me at the beginning or keep up early and outlast me. Pendulums out pace me early so I lost to folo, and Thunder Dogmatika is able to keep up and easily out grind me. Not too surprised, happy that my losses were only to top 4 players again this month.

Do you have a favorite play of the tournament?

I did love resolving Widow Anchor and Change of Heart against Impy in game 3 after getting exchanged, if only because of how mad I know it makes Veiss. Also siding in Hallohallo but never seeing it.

Moving forward, what cards do you think should be banned or restricted, if any?

I have full belief that the Dogmatika engine will be taking some heavy hits before the next YTC. I think it's likely we'll also see hits to some power traps like Ice Dragon's Prsion too, and probably a hit to Egyptian God Slime. With PHRA around the corner we'll also probably lose Accesscode Talker.

What made you choose this deck for the tournament, and what were your tech choices?

Not much, I always play pendulum, well it has been a bit since I last topped, so about stuff i've added in the last few months: spyrals work really well, like I was questioning it while trying out various sizes for the engine but the 2 agents rota and the field are just perfect. It is certainly the best option for a 3rd field to run set rotation and set rotation is a great card so, yeah it's worth it. I've been debating on what exactly my last trinity should be too, been between 2nd duelist alliance and 2nd revolution dragon, but I believe duelist alliance is just more universally useful overal, despite additional revo setup for field nukes being good. Besides that, dragonox is not worth it just because you run rota, it does nothing, you do not actually need a pend to get from every searcher card you have. Odd-eyes fusion I only recently got to, but it is really useful, cause furious is an amazing card, so I consider a pendulum staple after playing it for a bit now, that worked quite well. Besides dragonox, another card that just does not work out is pendulum paradox, it can be dead and it feels like you only ever get it resolved when you would win anyway, the recovery aspect simply does not work out. Aside from that this is standard go 2nd pendulum as I currently understand it in the main, the poem/endymion/metalfoe ratios are standard imo, timelord are good for going 2nd, maxx too, seleglare is great too. I used to run foolish burial goods, but actually sacred sword bricks really badly much less than goods so it is the superior option and is what I run now. Pendulum impenetrable was a questionable card for me to run over mst for a while, but it being able to protect scales even later in the game and against monster effects makes it a better choice than another s/t removal card. Ed is only essentials for the most part, I have a hard time cutting or adding anythin there. My siding is bad as usual, but there I have recently added metaion who can be cool.

Would you make any changes to the deck?

Don't side vishuda, it never comes up and takes two slots. Also remove dragonox and paradox as I mentioned tohse being bad, drago can be replaced with something like black fang to fill a slot. More importantly I should have definitely run a dogmatika engine, but sadly I am only considering that now, dogmatika is just too good in this format not to run.

How did your matchups throughout Swiss and Top 4 go?

I felt I did quite well, my deck seemed to be able to power through most of the tournament, only lost 1 match for certain in swiss cause I let through an illegal move from my opponent, that was quite a blunder might have won the game otherwise, this deck has a big rng factor, but I also feel like I am still not the best pilot too. Top 4 match was against thunder dogma which is a deadly combo, I got hit for big numbers and couldn't keep myself alive, that's a weakness of pend, you don't actually often have stuff to stop yourself dying cause you don't run backrow. And you usually want to try clearing your opponents board so with thundra, which doesn't actually make a board, it can get pretty bad, the opponent keeping resources in hand is a big weakness for my build of pendulum.

Do you have a favorite play of the tournament?

I think there was one time my opponent scooped to just odd-eyes fusion and nothing else really, that was cool, besides that, I don't really do cool plays, just advantage.

Moving forward, what cards do you think should be banned or restricted, if any?

Dogmatika stuff, not sure exactly what. For my deck, starving venom should be forbidden to stop revolution dragon nonsense, besides that I think the format is pretty much fine, like I guess you could put a limit on a random good pend card to deck tax, since my deck is pretty good, but nothing stands out, for other decks as well nothing else really bad stands out right now.
